Pimento Cheese Sandwich

Pimento Cheese Sandwich
A pimento cheese sandwich is a great nibble for any afternoon tea. It’s one of my favorites and I’ve tried dozens of recipes, but this is one of the best. I think you’ll love it too.

Pimento Cheese Sandwich

  • 2 cups Extra-Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded (not pre-shredded)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Ground Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 (4 ounce) jar Diced Pimento, drained
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 16 slices Thin White or Wheat Sandwich Bread, slightly frozen
Place the Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and pimento into the large bowl and stir well until thoroughly combined. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
Evenly spread cheese on 8 slices of sandwich bread and top with remaining slices. Using a 3″ round cookie cutter, cut shapes from sandwiches, discarding scraps. Cover with a damp paper towel and allow to fully thaw at room temperature before serving.
Enjoy with your favorite cup of tea.
